We are pleased to announce that we are now offering quilting classes at the shop. Samples of class projects are available for viewing at the shop, along with Sign-up Sheets for each class. Payment for each class must be made to the teacher before class and supply list will be emailed or provided at first class. Class sizes are limited so they will fill quickly!

QUILTING 101 (Beginning Quilting) CLASS – Instructor – Rebecca WardRecommended for Beginners or above. Four sessions – total 16 hour class. Prerequisites: Must have general sewing and machine operation knowledge. BETWEEN SESSION HOMEWORK MAY BE NEEDED Registration Fee $ 50.00 Offered: 4 Parts – 10:00 to 2:00 each session- Coming Soon Form a solid background for future quilting projects as you are guided while you create your first mini quilt. Learn about templates, seam allowances, block design, piecing, borders, markings, sandwiching quilt, hand quilting, binding, hanging sleeve & quilt labels.
BLOCK OF THE MONTH 2016 – Instructor – Rebecca WardThis class series will run once a month for 12 months, but only one Saturday a month! Prerequisites: Must have general sewing and machine operation knowledge. Registration Fee $ 25.00 per class

All of these blocks will be good for the beginning quilter. Some will be easier, others more complicated, but you’ll learn something with every block – Indian Hatchet, Pinwheel block, Log Cabin / Courthouse Steps, 3-D Bow tie, Card Tricks, A Basket block, A House block, Attic Windows, Ohio Star, Bear Paw / Duck’s Foot in the Mud, Snail’s Trail / Virginia Reel / Monkey Wrench, Crazy Quilt from our scraps.
DISAPPEARING NINE PATCH CLASS – Instructor – Rebecca Ward

Recommended for Confident Beginner or above – 4 hours each class. Prerequisites: Basic sewing and quilting skills. Registration Fee $ 50.00

Create a Sunbonnet Sue block as you learn the techniques of appliqueing by hand. No sewing machine is required.

Recommended for intermediate or above – 4 hours each class. The full series covers four blocks (optional). Each single block can be repeated or combine the block designs to form a sampler style quilt. Fat quarter friendly designs. Registration Fee $ 35.00 per class
